derived from the practice of members' meeting every Saturday to
have tacos for lunch (and discussing Very Important Topics).

For the lists listed above as links, click on the link to go to
the mailman page that will guide you through subscription via
the web.

# Policy

    Don't even think of spamming here. The Communications Decency Act
    may be defunct, the old NSFNET "acceptable use" policies have
    fallen by the way, laws against Junk Fax may or may not stand up
    in court, but we still have the <a
    href="http://people.qualcomm.com/karn/97113.txt">FCC's rules on
    Prohibited Amateur Communications</a>.

    These lists exist for the purposes of the AMRAD charter: to develop 
    skills and knowledge in radio and electronic technology, advocate
    design of experimental equipment and techniques, promote basic and 
    applied research, organize technical forums and symposiums,
    collect and disseminate technical information, and provide
    experimental repeaters.

    Think of these lists as either Amateur Radio repeaters or
    technical forums (fora?) and act accordingly. Also bear in mind
    that as the AMRAD electronic community grows, there may be list
    members who need special encouragement to learn of our higher
    community standards of conduct.
