+**Thursday, February 14, <a href="http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library/branches/dm/">Dolley Madison Library</a>, 7:30 PM** Paul Mooney, K4KRE, will demonstrate his Low Cost Software Defined Radio as described in the AMRAD November-December 2012 newsletter. Paul cleverly combined free soundcard-based <a href="https://sites.google.com/site/sm6lkm/saqrx">SDR software</a> from Johan SM6LKM with a direct conversion front end. The conversion takes 40M to baseband audio. He will walk us through his design process, demonstrate operation (if propagation and QRM allows), and discuss enhancements.
