**Thursday, February 14, Dolley Madison Library, 7:30 PM** Paul Mooney, K4KRE, will demonstrate his Low Cost Software Defined Radio as described in the AMRAD November-December 2012 newsletter. Paul cleverly combined free soundcard-based SDR software from Johan SM6LKM with a direct conversion front end. The conversion takes 40M to baseband audio. He will walk us through his design process, demonstrate operation (if propagation and QRM allows), and discuss enhancements.
