AMRAD 136 kHz beacon
Sat, 10 Apr 1999 19:30:45 -0400
We were actually on the air, this afternoon, for a couple of hours, on
136.750, from Hal Feinstein's residence in Vienna Virginia. We
transmitted continually at 5 w.p.m. using our call-sign WA2XTF/4.
The main purpose today was to determine approximately how much
inductance we would need to tune our "T" antenna.
As soon as we will have erected a waterproof enclosure for that monster
coil, we will be transmitting regular schedules, and will announce it on
these reflectors, on the AMRAD web page (http://www.amrad.org) and in
the AMRAD Newsletter.
