I am giving a speech in Tornoto at the end of the month on exotic
propagation modes (Gray line, Antipodal, MS, Sporadic E, Field Aligned,
EME etc), and wanted to demonstrate to the audience "live" Meteor
Scatter signals. I do not need to make a QSO, just receive and play back
signals in real time on speakers and on a spectrum scope.
My speech will last 30 minutes and will take place midday at the end of
Is this feasible, and if so what gear do I need to maximize the
liklihood of signal capture?
I have high gain 2 and 6 M Yagis, plus 2M and 6M diploes and monopoles,
new laptop, FT 857D and other gear that I could bring to the show and
set up (potentially on the hotel roof, with remote access via PC
Anywhere, but from a room balcony would be more practical)
If MS is a long shot, are there other unusual modes-like EME-that might
be a better bet?
Thanks for your help!
