take a look at the two antennas facing southwest.
they sure look like tropo antennas

in fact, Wikimapia has the details....


and here's its mate in Cuba!

in fact, searching for "troposcatter" in wikimapia produces a number of
juicy things

if you look a bit further up Card Sound Road,
there's clear evidence of what sure looks like
a decomissioned Wullenwebber DF site.

there's on of those near Boca Chica Key that's still working.
sitting in a hotel in Key West
i've overheard contractors talking about a major antenna
overhaul they were doing at the site.
